Real Madrid dikabarkan menyiapkan dana €10 juta plus gelandang Fernando Gago agar AS Roma mau melepas Pablo Osvaldo ke jawara La Liga Spanyol.

Luis Enrique Mundur, Vincenzo Montella Kembali?

Il Aeroplanino diyakini menjadi kandidat terkuat pelatih Roma musim depan jika Luis Enrique benar-benar mundur.

Vincenzo Montella - Catania
Getty Images
Kedua tim dipisahkan jarak lima poin.

Prediksi Liverpool vs Chelsea, Prediksi Pertandingan Liverpool vs Chelsea, Prediksi Pertandingan Liverpool vs Chelsea 9 Mei 2012 Dinihari

Prediksi Liverpool vs Chelsea 9 Mei 2012.

Prediksi Skor Liverpool vs Chelsea 9 Mei 2012. Mungkinkah The Reds membalaskan dendam atas kekalahan di final piala FA lalu? Berikut ini Prediksi Skor Liverpool vs Chelsea versi Kucoba.com :

Giorgio Rossi, 55 years at Roma

Giorgio Rossi, 55 years at Roma
05/05/2012
Fifty-five years with the Giallorossi, well over half of AS Roma's history. This evening, 5 May 2012, Giorgio Rossi celebrates his last competitive match at his 'home', the Stadio Olimpico, wearing the club's colours. Since 1957 Giorgio has been an important part of daily life at Roma, where over the decades he has become something of a symbol – a genuine individual, a walking encyclopaedia, a patrimony to be admired and preserved. For the countless players who have known him down the years, Giorgio has been a friend, a father, a grandfather. The keeper of a thousand dressing-room secrets, part of the club's furniture, a respected figure in the eyes of the fans, a man cherished by all the players. For 55 years Giorgio Rossi's fascinating story has run parallel to AS Roma's. Today the club - in the shape of Baldini, Totti, De Rossi and Perrotta - bestowed Giorgio with a specially designed Brusco Gioielli plaque as a sign of gratitude for the many years of service dedicated to the Giallorossi. Grazie Giorgio!

Totti's 500th game in Serie A. To be continued...

Totti's 500th game in Serie A. To be continued...
05/05/2012
28 March 1993 and 5 May 2012. Two dates to remember in the club's history. The protagonist is the pride of Roma. He who made his Giallorossi debut against Brescia 19 years ago. He who started by getting kicked and with time learnt to carry the team. He whose importance you realise when he's not there. He whose name means 215 Serie A goals. He who pulls out his trademark 'spoon' lob in the derby and at the San Siro. He who scored the goal that clinched the Scudetto against Parma. He whose first-time balls and backheels are a delight to behold. He who got injured in Roma v Empoli then went on to win a World Cup. He who has made us smile and given us all sorts of emotions besides. He who has always been there. He who has turned out for the Giallorossi 500 times in Serie A. He who will keep going for a long time yet. There is only one captain. He is... Francesco Totti.

Luis Enrique: "A great game that could have gone either way"

Luis Enrique:
05/05/2012
The Giallorossi coach's comments after the 2-2 draw with Catania:
"It was a great game to watch. Well done to Catania and Montella because his team played really well and they tried to play attacking football. They also defended well though, with ten men behind the ball, and that made it difficult for us. I think they were one of the best sides we've faced here at the Olimpico. As for ourselves, we managed to carve out plenty of goal-scoring chances but we also struggled to cope with some of their set pieces. It's a shame because we could have lost but we also could have won today. Would qualifying for the Europa League have any bearing on whether I stay or not? I'll talk about that at the end of the season; the main thing now is to look at tomorrow's results and see if we'll still have something to play for next Sunday. Our subs changed the face of the game? Yes, Bojan and Lamela came on and had a good impact on the match, they brought with them grit and determination. What don't I like about Italy? There's nothing I don't like: I'm very happy here and my family is also enjoying the experience. It's been a tough year because of everything that's gone on, we haven't been particularly lucky either, but it's also true that you make your own luck by working hard."

Press accreditation: Roma v Catania

Press accreditation: Roma v Catania
04/30/2012
The application procedure for accreditation for Roma v Catania, the Serie A Week 37 match to be played on 5/5/2012, is as follows:
How to apply for accreditation and deadlines to be respected. Requests for press accreditation for radio, TV crews and photographers for the Serie A match Roma v Udinese must be sent to the Press Office by fax (+39.06.5060599) or by email (ufficio.stampa@asroma.it) no later than 11:00 on Wednesday 2/5/2012. This deadline is non-negotiable. Requests received after the deadline will not be accepted. Pitch accreditation will be granted exclusively to photographers in possession of the authorization granted by L.N.P. (Lega Nazionale Professionisti). Only one technician may be admitted for local TV stations, but not radio technicians. All applications must be submitted on headed writing paper and be signed by the director of the company (the place and date of birth of the holder as well as the press card number must be included).
Incomplete requests will not be accepted. Accreditation requests will be considered according to the availability of places in the press box and at the discretion of the AS Roma Press Office.

Luis Enrique: "That wasn't a game of football"

Luis Enrique:
05/01/2012
The coach's comments from the Stadio Bentegodi after the match against Chievo:
"Unfortunately we didn't see a real game of football today with all the rain; it was more like water polo. Both sides did their best to win it, within the limits of what was possible in conditions like this. The point is of no use to us because we needed to win but it was really difficult on such a heavy pitch.
"Pjanic? Leaving him out was a technical decision but he's an important player and I rate him very highly. He also had a little niggle and with the state of the pitch it's a good job he didn't play.
"What disappointed me most about the team? I have nothing to criticise my players for today; over the course of the season we've been inconsistent and we know that. As for getting close to third place, we've always concentrated on one game at a time: we've had a few good performances and three or four times we've had the chance to get to third but each time we messed up and missed the train. And that annoys us just as much as it does the fans. In any case, the numbers don't lie; we've clearly lacked something over the season.
"I've tried to work not only on the attacking side of the game, which is the part I enjoy most, but also on the defensive side. And that's where we have to improve if we want to be more aggressive.
"De Rossi's best position? He's without doubt a deep-lying playmaker, not even a central midfielder. But if needed he can do a job in other roles.
"Does all the rain - here after Catania - make me want to go back to Spain? That's funny because it rains in Spain too. My future? You'll have to wait until the end of the season."

Luis Enrique: "We need to pick ourselves up"

Luis Enrique:
04/27/2012
CONSISTENCY
The problem has been our lack of consistency in the league. We've been up and down and that has distanced us from our main goal. This is without a doubt the problem.
POST FIORENTINA
What I really think? I can no longer say. In the press conference after the Fiorentina game it's true that I wanted to speak from the heart. I thank the journalists who asked me questions because had I spoken without any prompting I would have said things I shouldn’t have done. Now though I've put my coach's hat back on.
NO REGRETS
I've never had any second thoughts about coming here to Italy. It's an absolute pleasure to be the Roma coach because it's a big club with great support and a fantastic team behind it. Can we still turn it around at the end of the season? Of course I think we can turn things around. But there's only one way we can do it. We need to win on Saturday and then win our remaining games. For the moment we're in seventh place in the table and that's where we deserve to be based on what we've shown. But I think that while there's still a chance to reach a target then you need to work to achieve it and our target now is to qualify for the Europa League.
A FEELING OF UNREST
What do I think about the banners protesting against me at Trigoria? I'm not thinking about who's behind them, I think it's normal that the fans are unhappy. This always happens in the world of football when a team's performances are not up to scratch. I've said it before and I'll say it again, our fans have given us unbelievable support throughout the season and the support has been better than the team's performances. I'm approaching this period of discontent as any professional should, by continuing to work as hard as I can to do what I believe is best for the team. Will we get booed on Saturday night? I maintain what I've said, the fans are perfectly entitled to show their disapproval and I think it's justified given what we've shown so far. We had another disastrous first half against Fiorentina but they supported the team. We were better in the second half and we showed fight. The fans expect us to sweat for the shirt and that's exactly what we need to do on Saturday and indeed always. That's the way it should be.
AHEAD OF ROMA V NAPOLI
Stekelenburg is still struggling with his shoulder and I think he's unlikely to play tomorrow. The game against Napoli is a game which will be tough both for our opponents and indeed ourselves considering where we are in the table after our recent performances. But it's a match which will once again allow us to try and qualify for European football next season. Just as I did yesterday, I will obviously speak to the players to get them as up for it as possible. We've got a lot to improve upon between now and the end of the season. We need to pick ourselves up and finish as high up the league as possible.
FUTURE
Can my position change? We're all going through a tough period and now it's time to stay close to the squad. We'll look at all the problems come the end of the season, we'll try and resolve them and we'll see what happens. I realise I have an unusual relationship with the press but I don't know if I can change.
THE REAL ROMA
There's no doubt that this year has been an exception because the club has new owners and a new coach. This is the first year under Roma's new management. I think many aspects have been pleasing even if you can't see that from the league. Had we won on Wednesday we'd have been just two points off third place. People are angry, yes, but I think right up until the 85th minute we'd have still been in it had Osvaldo and Totti both scored. It also needs to be pointed out that we've spent the entire season between fifth and seventh place. I think the owners have laid the foundations this year for a significant project. I'm sure that this club will win things in the future. What sort of Roma will we see next year? It will be a Roma for the Romans, a Roma for the fans, just as it's always been.
CHARACTER
I know that at times it's seemed like we've been fragile or lacking fight, but it's one thing looking at it from the outside, it's another when you see what is actually going on. I know we have flaws, of course we do, but I saw the right spirit before the game. Then it became a lot more difficult once we conceded. Wednesday's game sums up our season perfectly. At times we obviously didn't show enough character but you can't just go out and buy that at the supermarket.
FITNESS
I think my players' fitness is where it should be at this stage of the season. I'm very happy with my players' fitness and I think we're one of the best-placed teams in this regard.
RESPONSIBILITY AND ADVICE
As I've always said I'm the first in the firing line with regards to what's happened to the team this year. Do I have some advice for the lads? They need to improve a great deal to be at the level that's expected of this team, this club and these fans.
CONFUSION?
I'm in no way confused, I'm just thinking about my football. There have been times when the team has looked lost but I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the coach is responsible for all of that.
LUCK
Do I feel I'm due some good luck? You need to make your own luck. I've told you, I'm not superstitious. Clearly I've not had a lot of luck this season but I've not moaned about that. If we're on 50 points, it's because that's where we deserve to be.
SUPERSTITIOUS
Why did I make that superstitious hand gesture while I was watching Wednesday's game? I was watching the game with my arms folded and I didn't even realise I was doing it. I'm disappointed with what I read in the press because they misinterpreted it. I know the press watch our every move but I'm telling you there was no superstition behind that gesture, it was purely accidental.
KJAER
I'm very happy with Simon, he's a player who came here after two big seasons at Palermo, then a drop in form in Germany. I'm happy with the way he's conducted himself this year. Of course he's had some tough moments, but I'd like to congratulate him on the way he's been able to pick himself up after the mistakes he's made, and he's never given up. Simon is still only 23, he's played with huge pressure on him this season but he’s coming on a great deal and he's been a key player for us in the last few games. He's got great potential and I hope he has a big future.

“We can’t wait to bring AS Roma to Boston and provide our fans with a chance to watch two of the world’s top clubs showcase their rosters of elite players,” said AS Roma Chief Executive Mark Pannes. “We have had some unforgettable matches with Liverpool in the past and with the local ties of both teams, a match at Fenway should provide an electric atmosphere.”
Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, Fenway Park is America’s most beloved ballpark and one of the most recognizable sporting venues in the world. The match vs. Liverpool will be a homecoming for Roma, as the Giallorossi take the field in Boston for the first time since being purchased by a consortium led by Boston based Raptor Group's James Pallotta last year.
“As an ownership group we have made growing the Roma brand in the U.S. one of our top priorities and this is a big step in the right direction,” said James Pallotta, Chief Executive, AS Roma holding company NEEP Roma Holding. “I cannot think of a bigger stage for Roma to play on than Fenway Park, in my hometown, in what is hopefully just the beginning of an on-going derby between these two great teams.”
The matchup at Fenway between Roma and Liverpool will continue the ongoing rivalry between Italy and Britain’s top divisions.

04/27/2012
Another afternoon workout for Totti and his team-mates who underwent a final training session ahead of their league match tomorrow evening against Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico (kick-off at 20:45).
Training began under a warm spring sun at approximately 14:00 with the usual physical warm-up and keep-away exercise. This was followed by a focus on tactics and then exercises of finishing and set pieces.
Everyone was with the group, aside from Stekelenburg and Burdisso who continued with their personalised programmes.
Tomorrow morning the squad will be named for the match against Napoli, which will kick off at 20:45.

Roma v Napoli: a bit of history

04/27/2012

Napoli have made life difficult for Roma at the Olimpico since returning to Serie A in the 2007/08 season. Last term, for example, Mazzarri's side left with all three points: 2-0 thanks to a Cavani brace. The year before then, coached by Donadoni, the Neapolitans were beaten 2-1 as Totti grabbed both goals. There were two draws in the previous two seasons: 4-4 on 21 October 2007 and 1-1 on 31 August 2008. Roma have gone almost three years without a home win in this tie, close to 1000 days: 937 to be precise.

On the other hand, the Giallorossi have edged things at the Stadio San Paolo since 2007: five matches with three Roma victories (2008, 2009, and earlier in the current season, on 18 December 2011), one draw (2010) and one defeat (2010).

The 20:45 kick-off this Saturday evening will be the 130th meeting (home and away) between these two clubs: 45 Roma wins, 47 draws, 37 defeats. Overall the Giallorossi have the upper hand in the capital, having won 28, drawn 27 and lost 9.

Roma's top scorers in the 'Derby of the South' are Totti and Da Costa, who both have seven strikes to their name. Tomorrow is a good opportunity for the captain to become the No.1 marksman in the history of this fixture.
