Experienced AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf has made it clear that he won't return to Eredivisie giants Ajax in the summer transfer window.

The 35-year-old started his professional career with the Amsterdam side, who previously attempted to lure him back to the Amsterdam ArenA last year.

Nevertheless, Seedorf isn't interested in a return to the Netherlands just yet, telling NUsport: "Never say never, but a return to Ajax is not an option for me at the moment. I'm still closely monitoring what's happening at Ajax, as I do with all the clubs where I've played in the past.

"I'm keeping a close eye on the Dutch title race to see whether Ajax will take it. Additionally, I'm closely following Sampdoria's relegation battle.

"I repeat that a return to the Netherlands is not an issue right now, though."

Seedorf has an expiring contract at San Siro and has been linked with clubs such as Corinthians, Flamengo and several Bundesliga sides in the past few months.
